Receptionist

Position - Clinic

Clinic registration/reception staff are responsible for answering incoming phone calls, taking messages,  scheduling appointments, blocking/opening provider schedules, registering patients for clinic and outreach appointments, communicating with nursing, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed, answer patient questions, explain appointment process to patients, and other duties as assigned.  Registration staff must: possess excellent customer service skills, possess professional and helpful phone etiquette, possess the ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure and during emergency situations, possess excellent organizational skills, and possess the ability to multitask.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • One to three months of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.

  • Medical Assistant education, medical terminology, clinic and/or hospital experience is preferred, but not required. 

  • Must be proficient with computers and possess adequate typing skills. 

  • Must possess professional phone etiquette, and have excellent customer service skills.

Food Service Aide

Position - Care Center 

Appleton Area Health is currently hiring a Food Service Aide to assist in food preparation and delivery of meals to residents and hospital patients, documentation of meal and fluid intakes, dish washing and departmental cleaning; Ensure and adhere to departmental policies and procedures, follow sanitation guidelines, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to work productively and positively with fellow employees and Dietary Manager

  • Work well with others

  • Requires working around heat from stove/oven and steam from food/steamer

  • Requires frequent standing and walking.

Housekeeping Aide

Position - Environmental Services (Day Shift) (Full and Part-time)

Housekeeping staff perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient room, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of Appleton Area Health Services.

 

Laundry staff performs washing and drying of long term residents, in patients, and other essential laundry used by the facility. May be asked to do other tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications
  • Maintains established AAH standards, departmental policies, performance improvement program, safety, management of information, and infection control standards.

  • Utilizes excellent customer service skills at all times.

  • Complies with federal and state regulations and accrediting and licensing agencies at all times.

  • Work well with others

  • May have less than a high school education, no experience required on-the-job training will be provided.

Cook

Position - Dietary (PRN)

Food preparation and delivery of meals to patients and residents, provide dining room service, dish washing and departmental cleaning.  Follow departmental policies while adhering to sanitation and safety guidelines.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Position - Care Center (Day shift)

The primary purpose of your position, as a nursing assistant, is to assist residents with activities of daily living in order to meet their physical, mental, psycho-social, and spiritual needs.  The care you provide is in accordance with the resident’s individualized plan of care and established policies and procedures.

Education/Experience/Credentials
  • Must have a Minnesota Nursing Assistant Certification (if you are interested in this position but not yet certified, AAH is willing to train/certify candidates after completion of hiring process)

Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP)
